The Mighty Bison Junior Varsity overpowered the JV Elks 45 ? 31 the game was highlighted with Thomas Grissett scoring 17 points and Freshman Jacob McGill pumping in 11 points and rebounding well. Our team played well together and never trailed the visiting Elks.

In the final game of the evening Our Mighty Bison squared off with the 2nd place Elks led by the athletic/ classy SFA commit Thomas.

After a low scoring 1st quarter Our Guys trailed the majority of the game until the 4th quarter.

As I had stated earlier in this article Coach Bell?s team never quits, plays together well, and were determined to end their district losing skid. Good defensive and tough play by Asa Henson, Jordan Rogers, Catch Thompson and the rest of the team sparked the comeback.

The back and forth 4th quarter rocked each team with lead change after lead change and ended on a very positive note for Our Guys.

Senior playmaker Jamaul Randle scored 8 of his 25 points in the 4th helping mount the comeback.

The Elks sank 2 free throws with seconds remaining to tie the score at 41- 41 and set up a potential overtime situation.

Our fans were loud and supporting Our Team, the ball was inbounded, Jamaul Randle dribbled across mid court, and spotted an open Brett Hoffman.

Randle passed the ball to Junior Brett Hoffman, the seconds were ticking off the clock, Hoffman shot???..nothing but net!!!!!! Clock runs out and the Mighty Bison Win!!!!!

Final Score ? Buffalo 43 ? 41

Coaches, players, families, fans, in-laws, out-laws, and I go nuts!!!!! Another photo finish at Buffalo Gym!!!

The Mighty Bison are now 4-4 in district ? All Teams travel to Teague on Tuesday, February 4 to have another district battle with the Lions.

You know what I am going to say???Be There !!!
