Commissioners Court Meets

Leon County Commissioners met Monday, December 9th, for their first regular meeting of the month. All were present. Leon County Judge Byron Ryder presided over the short agenda.

The court approved the resignation of Scott Christensen from ESD #2 Board.

The court then approved the reappointment of Hank Dembosky for a two year term to ESD #2 Board and also the appointment of Janice Hall for a two year term to the same board. Both took the oath of office to these positions from Judge Ryder following the approval by the court.

Approval was voted for the signing of the 2020 Elections Resolution for Joint Primary and for the Joint Primary Election Services Contracts for Democratic and Republican Parties.

The decision on consolidating the voting precincts for the May 26th, 2020 Primary Run-off Election was tabled until the next court meeting on December 30th.

The Interlocal Contract between The Department of Information Resources and Leon County relating to the use of the DIR Shared Services Master Service Agreements was approved.

Donations in the amount of $2,950 for Senior Nutrition Services was approved. And a donation from Maryanne Ward to the Sheriff's Department in the amount of $250 was approved. The sheriff indicated the funds would be put into the department's training account.

The renewal of the term contract for ACG Materials Contract for one year was approved.

And approval was give on the renewal of the term contract concerning the mixing of oil sand. The meeting was adjourned.
