Caleb Henson Runs for District Attorney

I am writing this to announce my candidacy for the Leon County District Attorney. I have been proud to serve the last 3 years as your elected County Attorney, but after a lot of prayer and discussion with my family I have decided to enter the District Attorney race.

I live in Buffalo with my wife, Alisha and our two boys, Ramsey and Rhett. As a lifetime resident of Leon County with family roots here dating back to the 1800?s, I want to do what is best for my community. I believe that my background, education, and experience make me the best candidate to represent Leon County as an advocate for Justice in our criminal courts. I grew up working and hunting on my family?s ranch east of Buffalo in the Keechi Community. I am a graduate of Buffalo High School. After graduating from Buffalo, I attended Texas A&M University and the Baylor School of Law.

Upon graduation from Baylor, I went to work in the Anderson County District Attorney?s office where I had the opportunity to build a foundation for criminal prosecution under great leadership. From there, I came to work in the Leon County District Attorney?s office until being elected as the County Attorney. I have spent the last three years serving as the elected County Attorney. While in office, I haveincreased the conviction rates on violent offenses while also lowering the rate of repeat offenders through strict prosecution.

I will be completing my term as your County Attorney while running in this race. I look forward to continuing in this capacity throughout the race and continuing to work with all the hardworking law enforcement agencies in this county. I am proud of the work I have done and what has been accomplished so far, and I ask for your help, support, and vote this March in the Republican Primary for District Attorney.
