Sittin' Under the Oak Tree 9-10-19

Hard times come to all of us, but quitting doesn?t seem to be an option sometimes. Have my oldest and dearest friend, Peg, who is going thru some tough times due to cancer, and though the treatments have been a ?hiney-kickin? experience?, she continues to fight on.

She was the one who dropped everything and came to take care of me and my fives sons back in 1965 when I was the one who wasn?t supposed to live. I was pregnant with my only daughter, and sadly, she did not survive the treatments necessary to save my life. Thankfully, the treatments and Peg?s love and care for me and my five sons extended my life far beyond what anyone thought possible. J.D. had to work to pay the bills, and without Peg to take care of my sons, I don?t know what we would have done. I owe her a debt that I can never pay, but then, Peg is one of those special people that never looks for the ?pay-back?.Got to spend some time with her this past weekend, and as usual, I cried all the way home, and then some.

Peg, you are dear and precious to me and to my five sons. Since J.D. lives with God now, I am blessed to have five sons who do what they can to take care of the ?tuff stuff? that sometimes is a little too much for me to handle. So, you stay strong and we, The Morris Clan, will keep the prayers going for you. A mountain of love, hugs and prayers without end coming your way.
