Court with Judge Evans

Leon County held District Court Friday, June 21st, in Centerville. The Honorable District Judge Deborah Oakes Evans presided. Present to represent the interests of the state were Leon County District Attorney Hope Knight and Assistant District Attorney Keith Cook.

Freddy Dean Aguiree, who is being held in the Leon County Jail, was sentence to 10 years deferred adjudication after he plead guilty to a charge of Assault Family/Household Member Impeding Breath/Circulation. The attorney for Aguiree was John Bankhead.

Arraignments

Kimberly Lynn Day entered a not guilty plea to a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Emilio Alejandro Galvan plead not guilty to Trafficking of a Person. Galvan is currently being held in the county jail. Galvan is represented by Attorney Christopher Grier.

Tressa Christine Harrison, who is free on a bond, entered a not guilty plea to a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance. The attorney for Harrison is Christopher Grier.

Ashley Meredith Lagrappe plead not guilty to Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Under the Age of 15. Lagrappe, who is free on bond, is represented by Attorney Charley Johnson.

Jason Rhett Maneely, who is being held in the county jail, pled not guilty to two charges of Burglary of a Habitation and to one charge of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. The attorney for Maneely is Chris Martin.

Jonathan Cain Powell plead not guilty to Intoxication Assault with a Vehicle Causing Serious Bodily Injury. Powell is being held in the county jail and is represented in court by Attorney John Bankhead.

Thomas Sheppard Ray, Jr., failed to appear in court for his arraignment on a charge of Continuous Violence Against the Family. The attorney for Ray is John Bankhead.

Theodore Dean Vilardi, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, entered a not guilty plea. The attorney for Vilardi is Daniel Burkeen.

Devodrick Devon Whaley was present for his arraignment on charges of Theft from a Person but did not have an attorney. The judge asked Whaley to apply for a court appointed attorney, and then appointed Daniel Burkeen to represent him. Whaley plead not guilty.

Nevin Douglas Williams did not have an attorney. The judge had Williams apply for a court appointed attorney and entered a not guilty plea for Williams, who is charged with Theft of Material Aluminum/Copper/Bronze/Brass.

Other

A Motion to Quash in the case against John Shawe Williams was set for today, but postponed till September. Williams is charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and is represented by Attorney John Bankhead.

The case against Christina Campos was reset for July. Campos, who is represented by Attorney Allen Tanner, is charged with six counts of Theft of Firearm and one count of Theft of Property.

The case against Ronnie Ray Campos was also reset for July. Campos is charged with six counts of Theft of a Firearm and one count of Theft of Property. The attorney for Campos is John Keirnan.

A Evidentiary Hearing for Delingo Haven, Jr., was postponed due to the already long docket. Haven is charged with Sex Abuse of a Child, Continuous: Victim Under the age of 14. The attorney for Haven is William Carter.
