Court with Judge Ridley

Leon County District Court was held in Centerville, Wednesday, April 24th. The Honorable District Judge Hal Ridley presided. In the courtroom to represent the state were Leon County District Attorney Hope Knight and Assistant District Attorney Keith Cook.

The case against Luis Efrain Torres-Almaraz of Madisonville was set to go to trial on May 14th. Almaraz is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. The attorney for Almaraz, who is free on a $3,000 bond, is Joel Hardy.

Noah Aaron Bigelow of Humble was arraigned on a charge of Assault Family Violence with a Previous Conviction. Bigelow, who is free on a $10,000 bond, entered a not guilty plea. The attorney representing Bigelow is Heath Hyde.

Timothy Wayne Dowdell was arraigned on a charge of Assault Family Violence and Impeding Breathing with a Previous Conviction. Dowdell, who is currently being held in the Leon County Jail, entered a not guilty plea. The attorney for Dowdell is John Bankhead.

Justine Bryan Lesly was arraigned on a charge of Robbery. Lesly plead not guilty. Lesly is currently being held in the county jail. The attorney for Lesly is Chris Grier.

Leslie Bruce Grantland of Buffalo was in court for a pre-trial hearing in his case. Grantland has been held in the county jail and is facing two charges, Theft of Property and Burglary of a Habitation. No motions were made at the hearing by Grantland?s attorney, Chris Grier.

Jose Raul Reyna of Plano failed to appear for the pre-trial in his case. Reyna, who is currently free on a $7,500 bond, is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. The attorney for Reyna is Chris Martin.

Lomil Brian Farve of Stafford failed to appear in court for a Motion in his case. Farve, who has been free on a $25,000 bond, is charged with Possession of Marijuana. The judge ordered an arrest warrant for Farve and revoked his current bond. A new bond was set at $50,000. The attorney for Farve is Chris Grier.

Casey Michelle Noey of Buffalo failed to appear for a hearing in her case. Noey is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and has been free on a $5,000 bond. The attorney for Noey, Stanley Sokolowski, said that he has has not been able to contact Noey. The judge, noting it was the second time Noey failed to appear for a court date, revoked the current bond and set a new bond at $25,000. A warrant for the arrest of Noey was also ordered.
