Court with Judge Ridley

The Leon District Court was held Wednesday, January 30, in Centerville, upstairs inside the Old Courtroom. The Honorable District Judge Hal Ridley presided. There to represent the state was Leon County Assistant District Attorney Keith Cook.

The case against Leslie Bruce Grantland of Buffalo was set as the first case for trial on February 12th. Grantland, who is being held in the Leon County Jail, is charged with Theft of Property and with Burglary of a Habitation. The attorney for Grantland is John Bankhead.

The case against Darren Emanuel of Oakwood was reset. Emanuel is charged with Burglary of a Building. The attorney for Emanuel is John Bankhead.

Christopher Boles of Centerville failed to appear in court for a Motion to Revoke. The $30,000 bond for Boles was revoked and a warrant issued for his arrest. A new bond was set for $150,000. The attorney for Boles is Stephen Reed. Reed requested that he be allow to withdraw from the case citing an inability to get in touch with his client.

Wilbert Gordon of Buffalo was in court on a Motion to Adjudicate. Gordon pled not true to the state?s allegations that he has violated the terms of his probation. Gordon, who is being held in the county jail, has been charged with Burglary of a Habitation and with Forgery of Government / National Institution Money. The attorney for Gordon is Stanley Sokolowski.

Richard Claude McCormick, Jr., of Buffalo, was in court for a motion made in his case. McCormick is charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Under the Age of 15. The attorney for McCormick, Kelly Weeks, requested more discovery in the case.
