Court with Judge Ridley

Leon District Court was held Thursday, December 27th, in Centerville. The Honorable District Judge Hal Ridley presided. There to represent the state were Leon County District Attorney Hope Knight and Assistant District Attorney Keith Cook.

Casey Michelle Noey failed to appear in court for a Motion to Adjudicate in her case. Charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Noey has been free on a $5,000 bond. Judge Ridley revoked the bond and issued a new one for $25,000. A warrant for the arrest of Noey will be issued. The attorney for Noey is Stanley Sokolowski.

Sebastian Otto Cornish of Dallas was not present for a pre-trial in his case. Cornish is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. This was the second time for Cornish to fail to appear. Cornish?s bond of $4,000 was revoked and a new one set at $25,000. An arrest warrant was issued for Cornish. The attorney in this case is Hutton Ask.

The case against Charles William McMahan, Jr., of Richmond was set for trial on February 12th. McMahan is charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a Child. The attorney for McMahan is John Bankhead.

Arraignments:

James Seth Ogle, who is being held in the Leon County Jail, entered a not guilty plea to a charge of Tampering/Fabricating Physical Evidence. The attorney for Ogle is Michael Dahlenberg.

Jose Raul Reyna of Plano plead not guilty to a charge of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. The attorney for Reyna, who is free on a $7,500 bond, is Chris Martin.

Luis Efrain Torres-Almaraz of Madisonville entered a not guilty plea to a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Torres, free on a $3,000, did not have a lawyer. The judge appointed Attorney Joel Hardy to represent Torres.

Patrick Luigi Baynes, Jr., currently held in the county jail, plead not guilty to a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance / Intent to Deliver. The attorney for Baynes is Stanley Sokolowski.

Jeremiah Justin Garrison plead not guilty to a charge of Aggravated Robbery. Garrison, who is being held in the county jail, is represented by Attorney Chris Martin.

Craig Demund Hughes entered a not guilty plea to a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Hughes, who is being held in the county jail, is represented in court by Attorney Kelly Weeks.

John Sep Johnson, charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, plead not guilty. Johnson, who is free on a $10,000 bond, is represented by Attorney Hutton Ask.

Robert Kelly of Dallas entered a not guilty plea to a charge of Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility. Kelly, who is free on a $3,000 bond, is represented by Attorney John Bankhead.

Stephenson Newsome, Jr., charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, entered a not guilty plea. Newsome is currently being held in the county jail, and is represented in court by Attorney Stanley Sokolowski.

Leslie Bruce Grantland of Buffalo was in court for a pre-trial hearing in his case. Grantland is charged with Theft of Property and with Burglary of a Habitation. The attorney for Grantland, John Bankhead , made no motions. Grantland remains free on bonds that total $50,000.

The case against Timothy Paul Murnane of Buffalo was reset. Murnane is charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. The attorney for Murane, who is free on bonds that total $10,000, is Chris Grier.

The case against Kristopher Nowakowski, Jr., of Fairfield, who is free on a $35,000 bond, was rest until February. Nowakowski is charged with Intoxication Assault with a Vehicle. The attorney for Nowakowski is Mel Koehler.

No motions were made in the pre-trial for Thomas Sanders of Normangee. Sanders, who is free on bonds totaling $45,000, is charged with Manufacturing/Delivering of a Controlled Substance, Evading Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle, and Tampering/Fabricating Physical Evidence. The attorney for Sanders is John Bankhead.

The hearing for Christopher S. Boles of Centerville, was reset. Boles, who is free on a $30,000 bond, is charged with Prohibited Substance/Item in a Correctional Facility. The attorney for Boles is Stephen Reed.

Amber Lynn Roach of Mexia failed to appear in court for a motion in her case. Roach is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. The attorney for Roach is Daniel Burkeen.
