Escapee Tristan Neason Captured in Leon Co.

CAPTURED!!! -- Tristan Neason was captured on Wednesday night, December 19th, in Leon County. He had escaped from the Limestone County Jail.

On December 19, 2018 at approximately 10:15pm, deputies from the Leon County Sheriff?s Office responded to a suspicious person that caller thought may be Tristan Neason. Upon their arrival at the Discount Liquor Store in Jewett, they confronted a white male that identified himself as Josh Smith. Through communicating with the Limestone County Sheriff?s Office, they were able to determine it was the escapee, Tristan Neason. He was transported to the Leon County Jail in Centerville.

His identity was confirmed and Deputies from the Limestone County Sheriff?s Office took custody of Neason from the Leon County Jail and transported him back to the Limestone County Jail without incident.

Those being, The Limestone County District Attorneys Office, US Marshals Office, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Rangers, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Surrounding counties and the Groesbeck Police Department.

Public Safety is always the number one priority at the Limestone County Sheriff?s Office. We greatly appreciate the involvement of our communities in locating this subject. This is still an ongoing investigation and may lead to further arrests.
