Donie Bank Robbed at Gun Point

On November 5, 2018, at approximately 10:04 am, an unknown armed suspect entered the Donie Alliance Bank located at 235 Main Street, Donie, Freestone County, Texas and successfully committed an armed robbery. The unknown suspect was observed prior to entering the bank, believed to be entering the bank in a grey or silver Ford Focus or similar vehicle pulling up to the parking in front of the bank and walking into the bank. Upon entering the bank, the unknown suspect pulled out a long barrel, blue steel revolver from a blue bag the suspect was carrying. The suspect then pointed the gun at the employees inside the bank as he demanded money. The suspect placed the employees in the bank vault and closed the door. The suspect, after taking an unspecified amount of cash (At this time). Then exited the bank and fled east bound on Highway 164 toward Interstate I-45.

The suspect was last observed by the bank employees wearing a gray pullover/hoodie with blue or purple lettering stating ?Maine East Athletic Dept?, dark sunglasses, fake dark brown or black beard, a baseball cap, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

The Freestone County Sheriff?s office was immediately assisted by the Teague police Department on scene and we were very appreciative of their quick response. The FCSO would like thank Leon County Sheriff?s office who were quick to respond to the north end of their county in an attempt to possible intercept the unknow suspect in that area.

The Federal Bureau of investigations (FBI) will be working with the Freestone County Criminal Investigations Division (CID) as this investigation continues.
