We can’t complain about the dry weather anymore, had another 2 inches the other night. It was nice and cool this morning with a hint of fall in the air. Eva Williams and her prediction with persimmon seed is already working...a spoon shape means wet winter.

Next business meeting from Flo Community Center is November 5 at 6 PM. November 6 is midterm voting day. If you are in precinct 13, you may vote at Flo Community Center from 7 AM to 7 PM. This a very important election, please make a special effort to vote. Early voting starts in Centerville court house about two weeks prior to Nov. 6th. Check the candidates out, read the paper, watch the news and do your civic duty.

Talk to your friends and family and urge them to vote. Circle the date on your calendar now.

Flo Com. Center members are selling tickets for 870 Remington 12 gauge shot gun. one ticket $5 and for $10. The drawing will be at the close of Turkey shoot, November 10th at Flo Center, 15789 FM 831.

Sarah Duncan is in charge of this shot gun tickets sales with assistance from Yvonne Woodard and Margie Moore. Tickets may also be purchased the day of turkey shoot and at Buffalo Sporting Good (Archie’s).

This is the largest event for Flo Center each year and we appreciate everyone’s assistance with this endeavor. Reagan and Linda Horn are in charge of the Turkey Shoot each year. Mr. Winifred Horn, his brother started this when he lived in Flo several years ago. He would call all of his relatives and remind them to come. Bring your shot gun and win a turkey or ham for Thanksgiving. Reagan and Linda are furnishing the hams this year.
