A Good Goodbye: Humphries Honored

THANK YOU! -- BISD Board Member of 17 years, Jennifer Humphries was thanked and honored for her service to the school district by Superintendent Lacy Freeman.

Buffalo BISD Superintendent Lacy Freeman recognized Board President Jennifer Humphries and formally thanked her for her years of work on the board. Humphries will be leaving after 17 years of service when newly elected board representative Brad Ezell is sworn into office later this month.

?I have had the pleasure and the privilege,? said Freeman, ?to have worked with Jennifer these years and call her a friend. Never one to be afraid to ask questions or to speak her mind, her work has made a difference in the lives of students and has made the district a better place.?

Freeman presented Humphries with a plaque in honor of her service, and the board enjoyed a cake and drinks at the conclusion of the special called meeting held Monday evening, May 7th.
