Welcome!

Sittin' Under the Oak Tree 12-5-17

I always say “God loves me the Most!” Want proof? My doctor’s visit was the day-before-Thanksgiving! The day before four of my five sons (and family) came to my house for the big day! (All loaded down with the ‘sinful stuff’ that makes me want to stuff myself.) My Girls are all great cooks, and boy-oh-boy do they try their best to tempt Mom!!!After a huge meal, my friend from years gone by, would say “Why didn’t I get the worst sore throat of my life the day before Turkey Day instead of the day after!” Well, who is at fault here? Yours-truly, of course! I love my doctor; he just does his job and I am thankful for him. He promised J.D. that he would take good care of me, but when he has to ‘gently’ advise me about my (lack-of) diet, I ‘snap-to-it’ and straighten up! Reminds me of a ‘share’ sent to me years ago. Only sharing a portion of it so don’t get nervous. It’s called….

The Woman!

“Woman has strengths that amaze man. She can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens. She holds happiness, love and opinions. She smiles when feeling like screaming. She sings when she feels like crying, cries when she is happy and laughs when she is afraid. She fights for what she believes in and stands up against injustice. She doesn’t take “no” for an answer, when she can see a better solution. She gives herself so that her family can thrive.”

“She takes her friend to the doctor if she is afraid. Her love is unconditional. She cries when her kids are victorious. She is happy when her friends do well. She is glad when she hears of a birth or a wedding. Her heart is broken when a next of kin or a friend dies. But…she finds the strength to get on with life. She knows that a kiss and a hug can heal a broken heart. There is one thing wrong with her.

She forgets what she is worth!

Have a blessed week!
