Mitch's Corner 7-25-17

On July 18th, I attended Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames at Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfield and was moved by the Holy Spirit during the presentation. God spoke to me and called me back to Him! Yes, I am saved and I have been baptized. During high school and college, I had a personal relationship with Christ. I went on mission trips and I shared God’s love with others. I was blessed to be able to fellowship and do life with others.

However, the past six years since college have been a struggle at times. I have gotten busy with work and the things of this world. Yes, I have attended church on Sundays and I’ve prayed and talked to God some over the years. However, my daily personal relationship with Him was not there.

This past week has been amazing! My life is full of joy again and I don’t feel a void. I was chasing the things of this world that truly do not matter in the end because we can’t take material things with us when we pass away.

On May 12, 2006, my brother was killed in an accident. Since then, I have had many others that I know pass away. Some were young children and some were great grandparents. We don’t know when our time on this Earth will come to an end. It could be 50 years from now, 5 years from now, tomorrow, or even today.

I have had several brothers reach out to be this past week and I truly can’t explain what it means to me. I’m so excited to get plugged in and do life with others. God loves me and He loves you too!

This week’s Bible verse is 2 Corinthians 5:17. It says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

My prayer for us today is that we will share Christ with others. Until next time, make Him famous in ALL that you do!
