Town Talk 6-20-17

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I appreciate you many readers letting us know how much you have missed Town Talk, but we have had so much the last few months we really had no space in the paper for Town Talk.

Many families are returning from Cancun and Destin, Florida and from the pictures I have seen they all had a wonderful time.

The last few months of school is a very busy time for us here at the paper and I always think that things will slow down some and so far that has not happened. Mitchell had photo shoots Saturday morning and he covered the Miss Leon County 4th of July Scholarship Pageant in Centerville. I attended the GB Bennett ISD School Reunion. It started with a parade Saturday morning at 10:00. It was a fun-filled day for many. At 6:00pm, everyone attended a Banquet at the Buffalo Civic Center where everyone enjoyed visiting and meeting friends and family members.

On Wednesday afternoon, we were over in Fairfield to watch the grands -- Paisleigh, Alex and Taylor participate in the Fairfield Youth Rodeo. Paisleigh and Alex participated in the goat events and Taylor and Alex participated in the roping events. It was a very long and a hot evening, we got home at 2:15 am, but it was worth every minute of it. It will not be long before our Callaway Rein Vaughn will be entering up in the rodeos. He walks around most of the time with a rope in his hand. I am sure most of you can tell that Dennis and I are so crazy about our grands. On June 5, little Miss Charli Roan Vaughn made are arrival and I am sure she will be like all the others and will want to walk around with a rope in her hand, ready to rope as well. Miss Charli is one beautiful baby girl and sleeps most all the time.

Many of you know that Buffalo ISD Superintendent Mr. Lacy Freeman is recovering from a double by- pass surgery. Mr. Freeman is a very active person and I know that this is hard for him to try and slow down his busy life just a little so please keep Mr. Freeman and his family in your prayers.

Diane Tatum is also recovering from a triple by-pass surgery. She is having to take it easy for a while and maybe before long we will see her out and about. I know that Larry, Dianne and Trendon are giving her the very best care. Please keep Diane and her family in your prayers.

Happy belated birthday to Scott Krivacka. Many of you know that Scott is Karen C. Hailser’s first cousin. Karen’s Dad and Scott’s Mom Charlcie were brother and sister and their grandparents were Ruby and J.D. Coburn.

I want to congratulation the following newborns that have recently made their arrival.

Till next week- “But without faith it is impossible to please him, for He who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” ~ Hebrews 11:6
