New Buffalo Lions Officers

PRESIDENT -- International Lions Director Sam Lindsey inducts Buffalo Lions President Carl Robacker as President of the Buffalo Lions Club for 2017-2018.

Members of the Buffalo Lions Club met Tuesday evening, June 6th, to install new officers for the 2017 ? 2018 year. Current President John Noles presented the speaker, International Lions Director Sam Lindsey, who spoke to the group and then installed the new officers.

Lion Carl Robacker will serve as the new President of the Buffalo Chapter. The secretary will be Karen Noles who has served in this position for the last several years. Wayne Phillips is the new First Vice President, Rose Gonzalez is the Second Vice President, Mary Dujay is the Treasurer, and Harold Sumrall is the new Lion Tamer.

Directors of the Buffalo Lions Club are Dianne Ryder, Pat Williams, and Lori Reid. Serving as Membership Chairman is Sam Lindsey.

Lindsey, of Kosse (formerly of Hill Top Lakes), spoke on the history and purpose of the Lions Club which is an international organization. Lindsey will attend the 100th year convention of the Lions Club later this year in Chicago. Lindsey spoke of the places he and his wife Jodyi have been and the people they have met while serving as International Director. ?This organization really makes a difference. And being able to see it on a broader plane, reinforces the idea that we can do so much when we bind ourselves together.?

Lindsey nominated John Noles to serve as the Second District Governor of the Texas Chapter of the Lions Club. Noles was approved for the nomination in a unanimous vote. Noles was presented by Lindsey with a Golden Book of Deeds pin and a lifetime membership into the Texas Lions Camp.

There are currently 1.4 millions Lions in the world with 210 countries involved in the program.
